North and South Sutors, Cromarty
From the vantage point at Balblair on the Black Isle, the two opposing headlands of the Sutors of Cromarty mark the entrance to the Cromarty Firth.
Sutors is the Scots word for shoemaker and it is said that two giant shoemakers who used the cliffs as workbenches, stood guard over the firth and used to tossed their tools to and fro between one another.
