Fairy Glen, The Money Tree, Rosemarkie

At the end of a delightful, wooded glen at Rosemarkie lies two dramatic waterfalls, especially after heavy rain. The ‘Money Tree’, features hundreds of old coins hammered into its bark as offerings to the fairies. On the way to the waterfalls, you pass a pool once known for well-dressing ceremonies, where local children would decorate springs with flowers in the hope that the fairies would keep the water clean.
